Out-of-this world - Weirdest animals you'll see during your travel

323 days 19 hours 6 minutes ago
All of the featured animals featured have one thing in common. They have highly unusual attributes. Check out these animals that just seem out-of-this world.

From newly-discovered deep sea crustaceans to rodent-resembling primates, nature has brought us some outright weird-looking creatures.

Ranging from the stunningly beautiful to the unexpected, these animals leverage their uniqueness or use their powers of camouflage to catch prey, to hide from predators, and to catch a moment of peace and quiet.

The axolotl is a Mexican neotenic mole salamander. Neotenic means that, as adults, it holds onto traits seen in juveniles.

Related to the sea hose, the leafy sea dragon is good at camouflaging.

Females are 27 inches (69cm) at the withers. Male Komondorok are a minimum of 28 inches at the withers

The aye-aye is a rodent-looking lemur found in Madagascar.
