Greet Spa guests immediately as they arrive in the Ancient Cedars Spa.
Manage the guest bookings for treatments in the Spa through effective scheduling, maximizing effectiveness of the Spa Team Members, while also arranging appointments to meet the guest’s preferred timing.
Have a thorough understanding of all services and treatments offered through the Ancient Cedars Spa, and be prepared to answer guests’ questions regarding these treatments. Be confidant in making treatment suggestions for guests who request such assistance during their spa booking.
Have a strong understanding of all products sold from the Ancient Cedars Spa and answer all guest and employee questions about spa products, prices and inventory.
Order back-bar and retail supplies through approved suppliers, making sure adequate product is on-hand and in-stock, while staying within budgeted goals.
Complete transactions for the guests when they are leaving the Spa. Assist with other financial duties of the spa, including balancing daily financial transactions, and rectifying any discrepancies, as appropriate.
Participate in Retail programs. Provide assistance, guiding and coaching to other Spa Team Members in regards to retail sales, whether in Team meetings, or on a 1-on-1 basis.
Complete assigned administrative duties. This may include, but is not limited to: team scheduling, accounting procedures, record keeping, and employee performance.
Assist in spa cleaning and organization of all areas of the spa. Oversee the duties of Spa Attendants, directing and assisting as needed.
Be true to the mission statements of the Inn & the Best Place to Work committee. Constantly ensure that the “5 C” standards of Relais & Chateaux and the AAA standards are maintained.
Job Requirements
Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Previous spa product line knowledge would be an asset.
Strong organizational skills, initiative thinking and ability to multi-task.
Ability to organize the guest bookings for spa practitioners and deal with guests in a professional manner.
Previous experience of 1 year in another spa, or a full service hotel, would be an asset.
Working knowledge of Pro-Salon, Inn control, Excel, Word, and internet applications would be preferred.
Must embrace the philosophies of wellness and healing through spa experiences.
Exemplary customer service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations.
Ability to make a 19-month commitment to the position.
